The COM Express Type 6 module features 5th generation Intel® Core™ processor (H-processor line), one onboard 4 GB extended temperature DDR3L chip, and one 204-pin SO-DIMM DDR3L socket supporting up to 8 GB. With outstanding computing performance, low power consumption, wide temperature range, and seismic design, the rugged basic-size SoM (system on module) drives Internet of Things innovation and is ideal for graphics-intensive and rich I/O applications such as telecommunication, medical imaging, digital signage, gaming machines, military, and networking.
In conjunction with Axiomtek’s baseboard CEB94006 or user-supplied carrier board, the advanced module supports one PCIe x16 v3.0, eight PCIe x1 devices, and maximum up to 24 lans of PCIe to provide rich I/O options. Furthermore, with Intel® Iris™ Pro Graphics 6200 and Intel® HD Graphics 5600, the CEM880significantly improves graphics and media performance, offering 3D clear HD video, triple view, quick sync video and wireless display. Graphics outputs include VGA, LVDS and three DDI ports supporting HDMI/DVI/DisplayPort. The high performance SoM is aimed to accommodate the growing trend of prompt and high definition display needs.
Following the latest PICMG Rev 2.1 specification, the Axiomtek CEM880 is designed for serial signaling protocols, including one PCIe x16 v3.0, eight PCIe x1, four SATA-600 with Intel® Smart Response Technology, 1 GB Ethernet supporting Wake-on-LAN, HD audio, one LPC interface, one SPI interface, 4 channels in and out Digital I/O, eight USB 2.0, and four USB 3.0. Furthermore, hardware monitor, TPM 1.2, SMBus and Watchdog Timer are supported as well.
